n this study, we hypothesized that the conversion of paddy fields to dry lands and forest lands would lead to a decline in soil quality. To test this hypothesis, we systematically collected soil samples under different land use types and analyzed their physical, chemical, and biological properties in the laboratory. Specifically, we selected representative samples from paddy fields, dry lands, and forest lands to ensure the data’s representativeness and reliability. For each land use type, we collected 90 soil samples and measured physical properties, such as soil texture; chemical properties, including pH, nutrient contents (e.g., nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), and organic matter content; as well as biological properties, such as microbial diversity indices. By comparing the soil properties across different land use types, we aimed to investigate the impact of land use changes on soil quality and to provide a scientific basis for future land management and ecological restoration efforts. The data analysis will reveal the extent of soil degradation caused by the conversion of paddy fields to dry lands and forest lands, thereby supporting the development of effective land use policies.
