Evaluation of Approach Using Meteor

The success of test refactoring, especially in eliminating test smells, depends on evaluating the refactored test afterward to ensure it retains its original behavior, specifically its ability to detect defects. Test smells point to potential problems in test code. Although various methods in the literature suggest ways to evaluate test behavior, they often lack practical tool support for industry use. To address this gap, <b>METEOR </b>is released, a tool model that uses mutation testing to assess the behavior of refactored tests. <b>METEOR </b>is implemented as a plugin for the <i>Eclipse IDE </i>and integrates with <i>PITclipse</i>, simplifying the collection and analysis of mutation testing data to effectively evaluate test refactoring.
