Report: Macrozoobenthos: Lütetsburger Plate – TMAP-Monitoring (2000)»

Within the framework of the “Trilateral Monitoring and Assessment Program (TMAP)” four monitoring stations for the monitoring of the macrozoobenthos have been investigated at the Lütetsburg Plate since 1999. Together with the permanent stations of the NLÖ Coast Research Centre in Norderney Islandwatt, which has existed since 1976, a continuous eulitoral station profile from the mainland line to the island watt is available. In addition, since 1994 there has been a permanent station on the Lütetsburger Plate specifically for the monitoring of the stocking, age distribution and area expansion of the mussel Mytilus edulis. This station is part of the Lower Saxony program for the detection of the eulitoral mussel deposits.
According to the TMAP guidelines, the four monitoring stations on the Lütetsburger Plate are examined twice a year in spring and autumn.
The results of the 2000 permanent examinations are summarised in this report.”
