De-identified Coding Dataset and Analytic Codebook for Digital Narrative Contestation in Electronic Word-of-Mouth around the Film Pesta Babi
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains de-identified analytical data underlying a qualitative netnographic study of electronic word-of-mouth surrounding the documentary film Pesta Babi: Kolonialisme di Zaman Kita. The dataset comprises 80 purposively selected top-level YouTube comments represented by anonymous identifiers C01–C80 and non-verbatim analytical paraphrases. It includes sentiment polarity, sentiment targets, multi-label thematic codes, narrative configurations, narrative contestation categories, engagement metadata where available, and the analytical codebook used in the study. The comments were selected based on their substantive relevance to the research questions. The unit of analysis was the top-level comment. Reply counts were retained as engagement metadata where available, while reply texts were not included or analyzed. To protect user privacy, usernames, profile images, profile links, donation information, and other directly identifying information are not included. Potentially searchable user-generated comments are represented through non-verbatim analytical paraphrases rather than reproduced verbatim. This dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Digital Narrative Contestation in Electronic Word-of-Mouth around the Film Pesta Babi: A Netnographic Sentiment Analysis of South Papua Development Discourse.”
