This dataset provides the administrative areas 1:250 000 (VG250) as at 01.01. for the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The database of administrative areas (VG) comprises the administrative units of all hierarchical levels from the state to the municipalities with the respective administrative boundaries, statistical key figures, the names of the administrative units and the specific designations of the administrative levels.
The data are divided into state, state, state, administrative districts, districts, administrative communities and municipalities. In addition, the dataset is accompanied by official supplementary designations, names of national minorities, as well as overviews of administrative assignments and administrative units.
The geometry of the boundaries is aligned with the ATKIS®-DLM250 in terms of accuracy and resolution.
As of 01.01. includes the changes in the administrative breakdown as of 1 January.
