GBS for population diversity of Illicium difengpi, a medicinal plant

Illicium difengpi is an endangered medicinal plant in southern China. It only grows on top of rocky mountains, and it is used to alleviate arthritis, muscle pain and fatigue. With GBS technology, we sequenced the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of 43 I. difengpi samples from 13 sites, which overlapped with all of their natural habitats.
