The tomato cultivar 'Micro-Tom' (Solanum lycopersicum L.) was used as the wild-type (WT) control, along with homozygous SlHB8-overexpression (SlHB8-OE) and knockout mutants generated through CRISPR/Cas9 technology (slhb8) from tomato plants were utilized in this study. After 9 days of water deficit treatment, leaf samples were collected from each strain in order to assess the transcriptional changes. Each treatment consisted of three biological replicates.
