The Hochkare to the east of the Tamischbach tower and south of the alpine wall now have no trace of former alpine pasture use. No hut remains or walk fences can be found, former alpine pastures or driveways can only be seen in the approach, in addition, this area is not accessed by marked climbs. The only evidence of previous human presence at Mitterriedel is the avalanche observation station built in 1925. However, this has not been maintained for years.
The sparsely overgrown kare and water poverty have not allowed a dairy industry.
