Meloidogyne fallax isolate: F3475 Genome sequencing

Meloidogyne fallax (false Columbia root knot nematode) is an invasive crop pest found across Europe, Africa, North America, and Oceania. Here we present the draft genome assembly of M. fallax which was de novo assembled and scaffolded using M. chitwoodi (Columbia root knot nematode), a close relative of M. fallax.The Meloidogyne fallax sample was taken from a culture collection (population F3475), maintained on tomato roots, which was donated to Fera Science Ltd. by Dr Gerrit Karssen from the National Plant Protection Organization in the Netherlands.
