Forest division in Saxony – Forest and non-forestry areas by department

The data set contains the departments as a forest economic unit in the forest of the Free State of Saxony, divided into forest and non-forestry farm areas. For each area, forest holding number, forest part number, department number and partial area number are given. It is differentiated whether it is forest or non-forestry area according to the Saxon Forest Act (SächsWaldG). Forest economic units are formed within the framework of the forestry facility for each forest operation and updated on the deadline. The data collected, the so-called forest basic data (FGD), are the basic data of the forest base map (FGK). They are at the same time the basis for the economic exploitation of the forest. They are stored in the forest database as well as in geoinformation systems and visualised in various, derived map types of the state enterprise Sachsenforst.
