ISTAN commissioning proposal
收藏资源简介:
The ability to design new and more sophisticated apparatus capable of pushing the limits of experiments is necessary for progress. The team at Uppsala University in conjunction with partners at ISIS and Stockholm University, have designed and built a state-of-the-art magnetic suspension balance (MSB) for simultaneous thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and neutron diffraction experiments. Based on the Rubotherm ISOSORP, it is capable of achieving a range of experimental conditions for TGA not yet seen on a neutron instrument. The IGAn currently available for TGA is limited in scope with the experimental conditions it can achieve. This is due in part to the design and the balance-by-wire mechanism it uses to weigh the samples. The new ancillary designed at Uppsala University is however, much more sophisticated and more capable than the existing IGAn.
