Enables calcium channel activity and gap junction hemi-channel activity. Involved in osteoblast differentiation. Located in endoplasmic reticulum membrane; gap junction; and plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; connective tissue; limb; sensory organ; and skeleton. Orthologous to human PANX3 (pannexin 3).
