Paired DFIG and Synchronous-Generator EMT Records for Distance Protection Studies in an IEEE Nine-Bus System

This dataset contains electromagnetic transient (EMT) records of fault and non-fault events in an IEEE nine-bus system with a 200-MW doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) wind farm, simulated in DIgSILENT PowerFactory 2021 SP2. Every event is simulated with the DFIG farm, with a synchronous generator of the same active and reactive power, and without the farm. The base campaign has 4711 cases at wind speeds of 8, 9 and 11 m/s; two network variants (weak grid and reduced synchronous generation) add 2295 cases. Each record holds the three-phase voltages at eight buses, the three-phase currents at both ends of the seven transmission lines (the terminals of 14 distance relays), and machine and converter quantities. Event labels are taken from the simulated event and are independent of any relay output. The dataset also includes 316 re-simulations of fault cases of a public DFIG dataset, used to compare the model with that reference; the reference data themselves are not redistributed. Extracting all zips into one folder rebuilds the original directory tree. CONTENTS.csv lists the zips; SHA256SUMS.txt holds their checksums.
