This scientific article is devoted to the study of the role and importance of English as a communicative tool in international trade and business relations. Within the framework of the study, issues such as the use of English in global trade, its impact on business communication, its share in export-import contracts, and its impact on the competitiveness of national companies were deeply analyzed. The article covers the theoretical and practical aspects of the theory of international business communication (BELF - Business English as a Lingua Franca), as well as the role of English language competence in strengthening the position of Uzbek companies in international trade. Based on the results obtained, practical recommendations were developed on a scientific basis.
