Changing pattern of small ethnic community’s Hydro-meteorological hazards coping mechanism: an exploratory study with the Rakhaine people in Bangladesh

The aim of this study was to explore Hydro-meteorological DRR strategies of Rakhaine ethnic minorities of Potuakhali districts of Bangladesh who are one of the vulnerable coastal ethnic minorities of the southwest coastal areas of Bangladesh. To do so researcher have addressed several key factors of the Rakhaine people like rakhaine people’s coping strategies, their disaster preparedness, their dynamic actions and safeguarding process, and governance which was not specifically addressed by the earlier studies.

本研究旨在探究孟加拉国博杜阿卡利县（Potuakhali）若开族（Rakhaine）少数群体的水文气象（Hydro-meteorological）灾害风险减缓（DRR, Disaster Risk Reduction）策略。该群体是孟加拉国西南沿海地区的弱势沿海少数族群之一。为此，本研究针对若开族民众的多项核心因素展开分析，包括其灾害应对策略、灾备筹备工作、动态应急行动、权益保障流程及治理机制，而此前的研究尚未对上述内容进行专门探讨。
