This study use rna-seq method to examin the effect of iron depletion. Overall design: RNA from three conditions were extracted: Giardia WB cells growing in TYDK; Cells growing in TYDK without ferric (less iron); Cells growing in TYDK without ferric and supplemented with 50 µM iron inhibitor (even less iron).
