资源简介:

Pain management remains a global health challenge, with conventional pharmacological therapies often limited by systemic toxicity, side effects, and accessibility. Herbal medicines offer safer alternatives, yet their clinical use is often hindered by poor bioavailability and patient adherence. This study presents the development and community-driven application of Tarasakit, a transdermal herbal formulation created at Makmal Izzah. Tarasakit utilizes turmeric (Curcuma longa) extract and castor oil (Ricinus communis) as its active components, integrated with a proprietary transdermal enhancer to improve dermal penetration. Observational data from early users suggest rapid onset of relief (within 15–30 minutes), sustained effect up to 6 hours, and a favorable safety profile. Beyond formulation, Tarasakit operates within a social enterprise model, empowering housewives through packaging and independent distributors, including medical doctors, for community-based healthcare delivery. This dual approach demonstrates Tarasakit as a replicable model integrating scientific innovation and socio-economic empowerment.
