Carbon, nutrients and sediment fluxes of a thermal erosion gully stream on Bylot Island, Nunavut.

The goal of the project is to quantify the spatial and temporal variation in carbon, nutrients and suspended sediment fluxes along a thermal erosion gully of an Arctic ice wedge polygon terrace of Bylot Island, NU. As a result, daily sampling was conducted at 13 sites along a thermal erosion gully to investigate spatial and temporal variations of water chemistry and sediment.本项目旨在量化加拿大努纳武特地区巴洛岛（Bylot Island, NU）一处北极冰楔多边形阶地的热侵蚀沟（thermal erosion gully）沿线，碳、营养物质与悬浮泥沙通量的时空变化特征。为此，研究人员沿该热侵蚀沟布设13个采样点并开展每日采样，以探究水化学与沉积物的时空变化规律。
