Zinc and Aging Mouse Microbiome study

The goal of this research is to identify the interaction between host age, gut microbiome content, and zinc and inflammation status. We are interested to see how the gut microbiome changes in the host in response to zinc status (supplementation or deficiency vs. adequate), and how the gut microbiome status influences inflammation.
