资源简介:
In the DOV database, any observation of soil layers is a drilling. For most drilling, a hole is made in the substrate with a drilling device to describe the various bases. A drilling gives you an image of the material in the subsoil with increasing depth. Depending on the purpose for which the drilling is placed, an appropriate drilling method will be used. Drilling is placed for exploratory soil testing, sampling of sediment and/or groundwater, determination of soil physical parameters, environmental testing, etc. Depending on depth, type of material, and drilling below the groundwater table may be selected from several systems for drilling manually or mechanically. The soil material released may be used to establish a profile of the substrate or to take soil samples from it to carry out further analyses. The aim is often to develop a sink to extract water (see also groundwater sampling network and groundwater permits). Drilling is sometimes carried out to determine a number of geotechnical characteristics or to carry out scientific research. Superficial observations of the substrate also call drilling. In particular around 1900, a number of geologists often described the superficial layers. The database therefore contains several drilling operations with a depth of 0 metres. These are mainly road cuttings or visible lithological characteristics along the surface.
