Zone GEODE Z1000. Cantabrian

Continuous Geological Mapping of the Cantabrian Zone has been carried out from two projects of the GEODE Plan of the IGME (Z1000). This continuous cartography was made within the GEODE Plan from the pre-existing series MAGNA E.1:50,000, improved with more recent geological cartography carried out by the IGME and other institutions, such as the University of Oviedo and others, coming, in this first case, from undergraduate and doctoral theses and other research works, both published and unpublished. This mapping work has been carried out by Oscar Antonio Merino Tomé and Mª Ángela Suárez Rodríguez of the IGME, with the main collaboration of Juan Luís Alonso Alonso of the University of Oviedo; all this being carried out under the technical supervision of the IGME.
