Exploring the associations between preen oil bacterial, chemical and proteomic profiles of passerines

This project comprises the raw data plus accompanying metadata for exploratory pilot analysis of preen gland bacteriome in 8 passerine species using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing produced via Ion Torrent technology. Results of this data are published in Antonie van Leeuwenhoek Journal of Microbiology under this doi:10.1007/s10482-025-02182-w and accompanied with exploratory proteomic and volatilomic analyses of preen gland secretions in identical passerine species.
