Ottawa sand and Angular sand consist of particles with distinct shapes. The x-ray computed tomography (XCT) image stacks of their in-situ confined compressive testings are provided in this paper. For each image stack, a contact network, a thermal network and a network feature - edge betweenness centrality - of each edge in the networks are also provided. The readers can use the image data to construct digital sands with applications of (1) extracting microstructural parameters such as particle size, particle shape, coordination number and more network features; (2) analyzing mechanical behaviour and transport processes such as fluid flow, heat transfer and electrical conduction using either traditional simulation tools such as finite element method and discrete element method or newly network models which could be built based on the network files available here.
渥太华砂(Ottawa sand)与棱角砂(Angular sand)均由形貌迥异的颗粒构成。本文提供了二者原位约束压缩试验的X射线计算机断层扫描(X-ray computed tomography, XCT)图像栈。针对每一组图像栈,本文还附带提供了接触网络、热传导网络,以及网络中各边的网络特征——边介数中心性(edge betweenness centrality)。研究人员可借助该图像数据构建数字化砂体,其应用场景涵盖:(1) 提取微观结构参数,如颗粒粒径、颗粒形貌、配位数及更多网络特征;(2) 利用传统仿真工具(如有限元法(Finite Element Method)、离散元法(Discrete Element Method)),或基于本文提供的网络文件搭建新型网络模型,以此分析力学行为与输运过程,例如流体流动、热传导与导电性能。
