These statements are mostly announcements about proposed works, works in progress and completed works, and relate to public buildings, schools, hospitals, colleges, sewerage and water supplies, flood mitigation and harbour works. They also include election and referendum speeches, addresses to political parties and special interest groups and cover such topics as natural gas, drought relief, death duties, industrial matters, primary industry and conservation. The statements are contained in bundles covering varying periods. Most bundles include chronological lists recording date of press statement, subject matter and sometimes expenditure on project. 1968-70, 1972-Aug 1977 (12/12760.2-12763). 4 boxes (part).
