High-Resolution Above-Ground Biomass Mapping of the Alps using Satellite Embeddings and GEDI

The dataset comprises the data and code used for generating a high resolution gridded dataset of Above-Ground Biomass (AGB) of the Alps (reference year: 2022). The map was developed by integrating openly accessible GEDI L4A Aboveground Biomass Density (https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/datasets/catalog/LARSE_GEDI_GEDI04_A_002) and Earth Alpha Foundation Satellite Embeddings (https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/datasets/catalog/GOOGLE_SATELLITE_EMBEDDING_V1_ANNUAL). The output map can be used for regional carbon accounting, forest management, and environmental modeling.
