This repository contains the complete dataset used in the study "Uncovering Hidden Transmission: Active Surveillance Reveals Cryptic Circulation of Yellow Fever Virus in Urban Marmosets in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 2024". The data were generated as part of an active surveillance effort to monitor the circulation of Yellow Fever Virus (YFV) in urban environments of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The dataset is divided into two tables: Mosquito: This table contains records of mosquito collections performed in urban green areas. Each entry includes detailed information on the date, time, site, trap type and position, species identification (genus/species), identification method (e.g., DNA barcoding), number of individuals per pool, YFV detection (RT-qPCR), and geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude in DMS format). NHP (Non-Human Primates): This table documents the sampling of urban marmosets (Callithrix spp.), with data on collection date, animal ID, microchip number, collection site and address, city and state, geographic location, area classification (urban), species, sex, age class, body condition, and body weight.
