Community dynamics of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in two radiocesium degradation lands due to the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear disaster in Japan

Utilizing arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can be a key factor to improve restoration of radioactive-cesium (Cs) contaminated soils through soil remediation under contaminated soil conditions. However, there is no information about ecological aspects of the AMF in Cs-contaminated soil due to the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) disaster. The purpose of the study was to clarify the dynamics of AMF communities in two different land use types around NPP.
