This map indicates whether advice should be sought when applying for an environmental permit for a structure which, because of its height, may have an impact on aviation: if the planned construction exceeds the height indicated on the map, the Directorate-General for Aviation of the Federal Public Service for Mobility and Transport must be asked for its opinion. The height indicated on the map shall be determined by the Flemish Minister responsible for spatial planning, taking into account the joint proposal of the Federal Ministers responsible for Aviation and Defence. This height is determined by municipality or by clearly defined area in order to protect civil and military aerodromes, visual air routes, military aeronautical zones and civil and military aeronautical installations for communication, navigation and surveillance (CNS) (Article 35 (16) of the Flemish Government Decree of 27 November 2015 implementing the Decree of 25 April 2014 on the environmental permit.
