Marsh sediment bacterial community characterization

This project aimed to assess differences between natural and restored marshes, characterizing the microbial community, edaphic parameters, and denitrification potential of sediments in Elkhorn Slough, California, USA. Microbial community composition data was collected from the restored Hester Marsh, and the natural reference Yampah Marsh. Plots in both marshes were also treated with various experimental soil amendments of fresh and aged biochar.
