Dataset from the article titled "The Impact of Proprioceptive Impairments on Obstacle Avoidance Behavior After Stroke". Individuals with stroke and age-matched controls performed an Object Avoidance Task using a Kinarm robotic exoskeleton. Participants reached to a target without visual feedback of their hand while unexpected obstacles blocked their path. <b>Sheet 1:</b> Outcome measures for avoiding left, right, and collapsed obstacle avoidance trials. <br><br><b>Outcome measures:</b>1. <b>Success Rate (%)</b> – The percentage of obstacle trials where the participant successfully avoided colliding with the obstacle.2. <b>Percentage of Trials Diverged (%)</b> – The percentage of obstacle trials where participants initiated a corrective movement, regardless of whether they collided with the obstacle.3. <b>Clearance Distance (cm)</b> – The lateral distance participants used to clear the inner edge of the obstacle during obstacle trials.4. <b>Divergence Percentage (%)</b> – The percentage of the movement duration at which the participant initiated a corrective movement (Divergence Onset), calculated only for trials where a correction was initiated.
