NO2 measurement data Wuppertal (passive collector) from 2008

The data set “NO2 measurement data Wuppertal (passive collector) from 2008” comprises the monthly mean values of the nitrogen dioxide concentration at 42 municipal measuring stations in the Wuppertal city area determined since 2008 by the evaluation of passive collectors. As of 05/2021, the data set contains 3938 measured values of 30 stations currently in operation and 12 stations whose operation has been discontinued in the meantime. The passive collectors are tubes suspended in protective housings, filled with adsorber material (“sampling tubes”), in which the nitrogen dioxide accumulates by natural diffusion over an exposure period of about one month. Each row of the dataset contains a monthly mean value of the nitrogen dioxide concentration in the unit µg/m³ (attribut MESSWERT) determined by laboratory analysis of a sampling tube. Via the station number in the attribute MESSPUNKT, the measured values can be linked to the location data in the data set “Air measuring stations Wuppertal (passive collector)” published separately as open data. In addition, each row of data contains the reference month (attributes YEAR and MONAT) and the day-sharp exposure period (attributes ZEIT_VON and ZEIT_BIS). The dataset is updated on a monthly basis. Due to the duration of the evaluation and data control, the measured values of the previous month are adopted and published in the database at the end of each month. The dataset is available in CSV format under an open data license (CC BY 4.0).
