Groundwater-Surface Water Interaction

The Australian Hydrological Geospatial Fabric Surface Hydrology Catchments dataset was used as the base layer for considering surface water as an asset. This dataset provided mapped major rivers for Victoria.\n\nNumerous investigations into the interaction between groundwater and surface water have occurred across Victoria. Where this information was available in a format suitable for use in a GIS, it was collated to inform a state wide dataset of groundwater and surface water interaction. The resulting product attributes the stream base layer (described above) with the following classification of groundwater and surface water interaction:\n\nGaining\nVariable\nNeutral/Losing\nUnclassified

澳大利亚水文地理空间基础地表水文流域数据集（Australian Hydrological Geospatial Fabric Surface Hydrology Catchments dataset）被用作将地表水视作资产的基础图层。该数据集绘制了维多利亚州的主要河流分布。

维多利亚州境内已开展多项针对地下水与地表水交互作用的研究。若相关研究信息可获取且格式适配地理信息系统（GIS），则会被整合至覆盖全州的地下水与地表水交互数据集当中。最终生成的成果为前述地表水流基础图层赋予了如下地下水-地表水交互作用分类属性：
补给型（Gaining）
可变型（Variable）
中性/排泄型（Neutral/Losing）
未分类（Unclassified）
