The space hurricane image dataset compiled in this study is derived from far-ultraviolet auroral observations obtained by the SSUSI instruments onboard the DMSP F16–F19 satellites. A total of 570 distinct space hurricane events were identified through a rigorous screening of approximately 300,000 auroral images collected between 2005 and 2021, capturing a wide range of space environment conditions. These events consistently exhibit bright spot-like auroral structures within the polar cap region, representing characteristic signatures of space hurricanes.
