NPM2 dissociates p-S9-PRM1 from HIRA:NPM2:p-S9-PRM1:dsDNA

NPM2 dissociates phosphorylated PRM1 from DNA (inferred from mouse homologs). Deletion of Npm2 from mouse oocytes does not prevent protamine removal (Burns et al. 2003), indicating that other factors such as Npm1 and Npm3 may act redundantly with Npm2 (Okuwaki et al. 2012).
