Availability of eight official Chinese verification portals, measured from inside mainland China with paired external-proxy controls, 5–9 August 2026

Three dated measurements of whether eight official Chinese verification portalsserve their front page, taken from a consumer connection inside mainland Chinabetween 5 and 9 August 2026. The portals are those buyers are routinely told tocheck: the company registry (GSXT), Credit China, court judgments, courtenforcement records, the trademark office, customs enterprise credit, nationalstandards, and CCC certification. Three files. The 2026-08-05 file pairs each request with the same request sentthrough a commercial datacentre proxy outside China, because a single vantagepoint produces false conclusions: on 9 August 2026 three official governmentPDFs returned HTTP 200 on a direct connection and failed to connect at allthrough a proxy. The 2026-08-08 file records three rounds per host with acommand-line and a desktop-browser user agent, which is how the client-typefiltering was found. The 2026-08-09 file is a reproduction run produced by apublished script that fixes the method in code. Every round carries controls: one Chinese government host and one Chinesecommercial host requested in the same session. If the controls fail, the roundsays nothing about the targets and is marked as such rather than reported. Method held constant across rounds: HTTPS GET to each host root, redirects notfollowed, no retries, 25-second timeout, status code recorded as observed. Aconnection failure is recorded as 0 and kept distinct from 403 or 412 — "couldnot connect" and "was refused" are different facts. Limits that travel with the figures: one consumer connection inside mainlandChina, three dates, front page only. A 200 on the root does not mean a searchcompletes. Nothing here is a statement about any company, about whether anyrecord exists, or about conditions on any other network or date. No searcheswere submitted, no CAPTCHA was touched, and no data was collected from anyportal — measuring whether a front door opens is a different activity fromwalking through it.
