Summary Trend TablesThe HCUP Summary Trend Tables include information on hospital utilization derived from the HCUP State Inpatient Databases (SID), State Emergency Department Databases (SEDD), National Inpatient Sample (NIS), and Nationwide Emergency Department Sample (NEDS). State statistics are displayed by discharge month and national and regional statistics are displayed by discharge quarter. For most files, trends begin in January 2017. Also included in each Excel file is a description of the HCUP databases and methodology.<br>
