A Critical Analysis of Reincarnation from an Islamic Perspective: A Comparative Study with Other Religions

This article critically examines the concept of reincarnation from an Islamic theological perspective, refuting its validity through Quranic verses, Islamic scholarship, and philosophical reasoning. It highlights the incompatibility of reincarnation with Islamic doctrines of the afterlife, divine justice, and the soul’s singular journey. The study includes a comparative analysis with other religions, notably Hinduism and Buddhism, where reincarnation is a core belief, and Judaism and Christianity, which generally reject it. By exploring theological, philosophical, and psychological dimensions, the article elucidates differences and similarities across these faiths. It also critiques the spiritual appeal of reincarnation and its implications from an Islamic viewpoint.
