Chloroplast genome coverage and protein-coding gene alignment for two diatom species: Nitzschia nienhuisii and Epithemia catenata.

This dataset includes:Coverage Depth Plot – A figure visualizing sequencing read coverage across the chloroplast genomes of Nitzschia nienhuisii and Epithemia catenata. Coverage was calculated using samtools depth and plotted in R. For Epithemia catenata, coverage was capped at 20× to improve visualization.List of genes – List of 112 shared chloroplast genes included in a phylogenetic analysis.Chloroplast Gene Alignment – A FASTA file containing a multi-sequence alignment of 112 shared chloroplast protein-coding genes used for comparative analysis.These data support the findings presented in the manuscript “Complete chloroplast genomes of two closely related diatoms, Nitzschia nienhuisii and Epithemia catenata”, currently under review at mitochondrial DNA Part B.
