Uromyces transversalis isolate:CA-07 Transcriptome or Gene expression

Gladiolus rust is a disease of horticultural crops, capable of severely limiting production the US and Mexico, and is a target of US import detection at ports of entry. The causal agent, Uromyces transversalis, is an obligate parasite that reproduces on tropical members of the Iridaceae family. Using RNA sequencing and transcriptome assembly, we developed a sequence reference of transcripts in germinating urediniospores of Uromyces transversalis and annotated protein expression for development of molecular diagnostic tools.
