资源简介:
In this dataset, we survey data obtained in study on the effectiveness of microlearning to enhance competencies related to climate change. The study was conducted as an online field experiment with 140 participants who engaged in a microlearning activity on the sustainable use of smartphones between April 8, 2024, and May 31, 2024. Data was collected based on online surveys administered to participants before and after the microlearning intervention. The dataset includes information on: Socio-demographic characteristics of participants (age, gender, employment status) Results from knowledge quizzes on sustainable smartphone use Assessments of sustainability action competencies (knowledge of action possibilities, confidence in one's influence, willingness to act) Data on learner satisfaction with the microlearning activity The codebook as well as the description of scales and measurement provides detailed descriptions of all variables included in the dataset. Furthermore, to illustrate the microlearning activity, we have added an animated GIF.    List of data: Pre-post-survey data Microlearning4Sustainability (*.xlsx) Pre-post-survey data Microlearning4Sustainability (*.csv) Codebook Microlearning4Sustainability (*.xlsx), Original survey items in German Scales and Measurement Microlearning4Sustainability (*.pdf) with additional information on indicators we used and how we measured them (includes also English version of survey items used) Illustrative example of microlearning unit on sustainable digitalization (Screencast as animated *.gif)   Data acquisition and processing The methods are described in a research paper that is currently under review. Once the paper is published, the link will appear here.   Acknowledgments The authors thank their student assistant Svenja Hädicke for designing the microlearning units used in the study. Further thanks go to Maximilian Bollow, Angelina Grunz, Rabina Judge, and Emilia Steinhauer for their assistance in recruiting participants for the study. Special thanks go to Olga Levina for co-curating the microlearning units on sustainable digitalization.    Notes Once the related research paper, which is currently under review, is published, the information will appear here.
