资源简介:
The vagal afferents represent a diverse class of sensory neurons that survey the gastrointestinal milieu and relay this information to brain. Those sensory neurons express molecular sensors that can detect diverse stimuli like hormones secreted by enteroendocrine cells after food intake and pathogens. To understand the potential alteration in the vagal afferent function upon gastric infection, the wildtype mice were orally infected with Citrobacter rodentium, and NG were collected 3 days post infection. NG mRNA profiles were generated by whole-genome RNA sequencing, to reveal the infection elicited transcriptional change in comparison to the uninfected control mice. 128 genes showed differential expression between the control group, including induction of Gpr151 and Sprr1a.
