The dataset is derived from the 2018 Dynamic Monitoring Survey on Floating Population conducted by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China. It was subsequently processed using STATA statistical software to produce an Excel attribute data table. This dataset reflects the basic characteristics of China's floating population stratified by region in 2018, including population counts and row-wise percentage distributions across various categorical intervals for variables such as gender, age structure, place of household registration, ethnicity, educational attainment, type of household registration, and marital status.
