Physiologic conditions at the beginning and end of ventilation.

At the end of the study period, we obtained data of arterial blood gases and mean arterial pressure from the nonventilated control mice and mice subjected to VT at 30 mL/kg for 4 h (n = 10 per group). We maintained the normovolemic statuses of mice by monitoring the mean artery pressure. Data are presented as means ± SDs. *indicates that P†indicates that P+/− = Src-deficient mice; VT = tidal volume.
