资源简介:
Representatives of the species Bacillus thuringiensis are known for their insecticidal activity. Thanks to the formation of spores containing cry proteins, the so-called delta-endotoxins, B. thuringiensis has been used in biological pest control for a century. A strain of B. thuringiensis subspecies galleriae BTG was isolated from a soil sample in Bulgaria and is patent-protected as a strain with potential insecticidal activity against Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, and Hemiptera. The analysis of its draft genome revealed the presence of several genes encoding broad-spectrum cry proteins such as Cry1Ab35, Cry1Db, Cry1Fb, Cry8Ea1, Cry1Ib, Cry2Ab, and Cry9Ba. This work was funded by AGRIA AG, Bulgaria.
