VPRS 16882 Paediatric Pharmacopoeias, Other Drug Guides and Nutrition Support Handbook

This series consists of pharmacopoeia handbooks published by the Royal Children's Hospital. The handbooks contain information about drugs including their use, preparation and dosages for administration to children. By 1960 the handbook name had changed to 'Drug Dosage Notes and Pharmacopoeia' and the text had become more accessible. The handbook name was later changed again to 'Paediatric Pharmacopoeia'.This series also contains handbooks related to:- Therapeutic drug monitoring- Intravenous administration of drugs- Guidelines for the use of Antimicrobial Agents in Children- Blood transfusion- Drug doses intensive care unit- Fluid and electrolyte therapy- Paediatric nutrition supportPrior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2006/021.
