This dataset supports the findings of the manuscript entitled "Longitudinal clines in wing morphology of Meloimorpha japonica (Haan, 1844) (Orthoptera: Phalangopsidae): Insights from morphometric and molecular analyses". It comprises raw sequencing data, processed sequence alignments, and sample metadata for a study investigating the geographic variation in wing morphology of the cricket Meloimorpha japonica across China. The data includes Sanger sequencing electropherograms (.ab1), preliminary and final assembled COI (COX1) gene sequences (.seg, .fas, .fasta), and a detailed sample information table linking specimens to their collection localities.
