资源简介:
The survey has three general purposes: #1) It attempts to describe, socially and pedagogically, a whole generation, or cohort, of young people in a well-defined, characteristic region in central Jutland. The survey population consists of the pupils in the 8th form of all primary schools in Silkeborg. #2) Similar surveys containing information about young people living in similar regions in West Norway and Iceland, respectively, were planned at the same time, so the survey also has comparative purposes, which are reflected in the structure of the survey. #3) Finally, the survey material will be used as the empirical basis of a systematic study of the extremely important development which young people experience in their teens, from the age of 14 or 15 to the age of 17 or 18. #The questionnaire deals with a number of issues which have been grouped together: #'Information about yourself': background variables such as sex, age, weight, social status of father and mother (coded on the basis of a number of questions which, unfortunately, cannot be retrieved directly from the data file), and housing conditions. #'Questions about school and mates': how the respondent likes school, whether the respondent will continue school; the kind of work the respondent would like, and the respondent's assessment of important and unimportant characteristics of a future job; whether the respondent feels that she/he is a victim of mobbing, and questions about mobbing in general, as well as the respondent's attitude to various statements concerning the 'ideal' school. #'Relationship with parents': how much time does the respondent spend in the company of other members of the family, what does the respondent do together with her/his parents; the parents' reactions when the respondent has done something wrong, interest and approval on the part of the respondent's parents, and pocket money. #'Personal questions': nervousness, anxiety, concentration problems, etc., and the respondent's attitude to herself/himself. #'Spare time and membership of organizations and clubs': membership (past and present) of various organizations and clubs and reasons for membership or non-membership. #'Your attitudes to sports and other kinds of spare time activities': what kinds of athletics and sports does the respondent go in for and the reasons for doing so, competitive sport; reading: books, magazines, the use of libraries, and other spare time activities such as TV, discotheques, parties, pubs, visiting friends; attitudes to spare time in general. #'Questions about church and religion': the role of religion in the respondent's home, and the respondent's attitude to various statements concerning Christianity, church and God. #'Questions about crime': whether the respondent has committed one or more criminal acts, what age the respondent was at the time of the first criminal act committed, whether the respondent was discovered in or after the act, and what happened afterwards. #'Tobacco, drugs and alcohol': whether the respondent smokes; whether the respondent takes or has tried any drugs and attitudes to the use of drugs; whether the respondent drinks alcohol and, if so, where, and attitudes to the use of alcohol. #'Adolescence and sexuality': sex instruction and where the respondent got sex instruction; being in love, and sexual activity. #'Opinions about adolescence': the respondent's attitude to various statements concerning young people and being young
