Soil and Bioreactor Microbial Communities Exposed to the Agrochemical Ametoctradin

A pilot study to examine the differences in soil microbial communities before and after treatment with ametoctradin, and the evolution of a bioreactor microbial community during continuous exposure to ametoctradin at varying supply rates. The ultimate goal of the study is to elucidate the members of the microbial community that respond to treatment with ametoctradin and potentially degrade it. Finding natural active degraders of xenobiotic compounds is vital to reducing the half-life of recalcitrant agrochemicals that can have deleterious effects on crop yields.
