3D Point Cloud Data from TLS and NeRF (Luma AI) for Forest Structural Analysis

This dataset includes 3D point clouds collected using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and neural radiance fields (NeRF) generated via Luma AI. It comprises paired TLS and NeRF scans from both open and closed canopy environments to enable comparative evaluation of their performance. Additional NeRF-derived point clouds capture detailed understory vegetation structure, demonstrating its potential for monitoring and measuring architectural traits. A subset of the data highlights the ability of NeRF to reveal fine-scale features relevant to microhabitat availability.
