Social Competition Task

There were two monkeys sitting around a table. ECoG data and eye tracking data were recorded from one monkey. Motion data were captured from both monkeys and experimenter. For each trial, one food reward was placed on the table. If one monkey was dominant to the other, he could take the reward without hesitation. But, if he was submissive, he could not take the reward because of social suppression. ECoG data were obtained from one monkey under different hierarchycal conditions by pairing with multiple monkeys. ECoG data were sampled at 1KHz. Motion data and eye tracking data were sampled at 120Hz. Start and stop point of all data were synchronized. Data formatThis dataset contains two matlab files (7.3 format) (kuma_social.mat, george_social.mat). Kuma and George are monkey's names (see a our web site http://neurotycho.org/spatial-map-ecog-array-task) Each matlab data contains three type of data.1. ECoG_dataIt is ECoG data. It shows all ECoG data in this task via 3-dimensional array data format (trials, time(ms), channels)."trials" indicates index of trial in this experiment. Its label is represented in "condition_index"."time(ms)" indicates when the value was occured in each trial. It is determined with reference when food show period is started and contains ECoG data during -3,000ms and +3,000ms from time of start at food show period in each trial."channels" indicates index of ECoG channel. Each trail is labeld by task condition and monkey behavior. It contains sevral vector and each vector represents each condition and contains index of trial.The task condition contains two types of labels (social condition and which hand the monkey used to eat a food)."social condition" is consist of three conditons (hierarchy, conflict and location)."hierarchy" means hierarchy of paired monkey which is higher (H) or lower (L) than the ECoG recorded mokney."conflict" means task condition which is under conflict (C) or no conflict (NC)."location" means location of food presenter (human) which is left (l) or right (r) side.For example, HNCr means paired monkey was stronger than ECoG recorded monkey, under no conflict condition and food presenter was on right side from the ECoG recorded monkey. LC meand paired monkey was weaker than ECoG recorded monkey, under conflict condition and food presenter was left or right side from the ECoG recorded monkey. 3. day_sizeIt indicates how many trials on each day in the data. We experimented sevral days (Kuma is two, George is three).In Geroge case, index of first day experiment is [1:day_size[1]], index of second day experiment is [day_size[1]+1:day_size[2]] and index of third day experiment is [day_size[2]:end]
